TYPES OF MASSAGE:
A- Therapeutic massage:
This is a focus body work on the area of injury or problem. The style borrows from any of the deeper body styles (Myofacial Release, Deep Tissue Therapy, Connective Tissue Massage, trigger point therapy as well as Neuromuscular Technique) which may work to alleviate the problem. See the Bio page for my additional training in these techniques. p>
A very effective session would be from 30 to 60 minutes and to focus on the area of injury. A common session would be to work the back, shoulders and neck or to work the low back for lumbar problems. If you are looking for some Deep Tissue work, that is what I specialize in. I have been doing massage since 1980 and have worked for chiropractors since 2003. p>
B-Spa Massage: This is for the person who wants a full body, one hour swedish or feel good massage. This usually utilizes a swedish style and may involve a heated pad, soft music, dim lights and a cover over the sheet. It is styled for the comfort of the client.
